Custom Blinds, Shutters and Awnings by Maxview Blinds & Shutters
I got started in the window furnishings 26 years ago working for one of the large national companies. Starting out on the shop-floor my first job was trailing their top fitter.
It was a big learning curve but I loved it:
- how shutters and blinds were made – the best materials for all the different usages and rooms
- how to fit them to make it all sing
with the real joy being the happy smiles of satisfied customers.
But in the end I got sick of fixing promises made by zealous sales people or other fitters’ poor work. It was no fun for the customer and rough being on the receiving end of their frustration.
How I was bought up was very simple:
- Do a job right
- Do it right first time
- And always be respectful of other people.
Do that and life will take care of itself, or so my Dad reckons.
And I suppose that has been my ethos ever since I set up Maxview Blinds & Shutters in Newcastle.
“I don’t want a call back… I want happy satisfied customers”
Our Values
It’s why we have two clear values:
- Do it right, first time
- It’s all about the customer and what’s right for them
Which is why we spend so much time at the beginning: to make sure the blinds & shutters are exactly what you want and show off the room in the best possible light.
Why we clean up as we go.
Remove the old furnishings – at no extra cost to you.
And vacuum up at the end.
Leaving your home looking better than when we arrived.
And in the 8 years Maxview Blinds & Shutters has been operating in Newcastle we have only ever had one complaint – a leaking window had warped the wooden frame of some plantation shutters. Which we quickly fixed.
And we have had hundreds of requests for us to come back and furnish more windows around our customers’ houses - plus happy introductions to new customers.
